It wouldn’t hurt to have some street lighting at night. It’s a beautiful space and it would be great to have a stroll at night without fearing for your life.

Hi Fitover50, It’s depend where do you came from. Generally you can choose a Shuttle or a Taxi to get the center city. It’s not possible by foot. The Cathedral is in P.zza Grande. I would suggest some small churches to visit that represent the soul of the multicultural city of Livorno.

The Church of Our Lady in Via della Madonna is the church where all religious denominations in the city had an altar where to pray. E ‘can still see the altar of the English of the French Armenian etc .

… if you ask the pastor you can also see a kiosk medieval accessed from inside the church. Another visit is worth the Church of St. Catherine in the square of the Dominicans in the Venice neighborhood.

If you can still advise you to refer to an experienced guide, and see a city with a unique history and wonderful.

Terrazza Mascagani is one of the most beautiful looking promenades that I’ve seen. The black and white checkered flooring and the stunning view of the ocean makes it a real treat for the eyes. The view of the sunsets from here is so so so gorgeous! Again plenty of ops to take photos. Depending upon the activities one likes to enjoy, you can easily spend about an hour walking around the promenade and if you are travelling with children, then make a stop at the adjacent Acquario di Livorno (aquarium). They also have several restaurants in the area. We dined at the Surfer Joe Diner located within the the aquarium’s compound.

Basically just a very large paved terrace, but it seems very popular for viewing the amazing sun sets

Worth a stroll down to the Terrazza as the views are great and it’s a pretty spot. It’s a public open space and I imagine taking a bottle of something down with you to watch the sunset would be wonderful-we didn’t get a chance to…More

As I grew up in an apartment in front of this beautiful space,I always get deeply touched when I come back to visit…the majesty of the place is incredible. The sea is relaxing and calming and the park next to it’s perfect for everything, from reading books,to playing with dogs. For my pleasure, the park it’s now well taken care of,since I remember a time when it wasn’t looked after that much…so I’m very happy about this improvement. If you want to go for a relaxing stroll,no matter the season, this is the right place to do it.

Perfect if you wanna take great pictures of the sunset or just going for a walk. You have a nice view over the sea

A beautiful sea side plaza. Hopefully it is utilized for some good for the community. I walked the plaza on a Saturday morning by myself.

Nice seafront promenade. The Terrazza has a paving surface of 8,700 square meters formed by 34,800 black and white tiles placed as a checkerboard and 4,100 balusters

How do I get from the port to center city, also, where is the Cathedral?

A very nice place for a walk. I recommend nearby bars and restaurants. Delicious ice cream coffee and ….. aperol spritz. beautiful

To walk along this wide promenade morning and evening is a real treat. In the evenings families walk with their young children all learning to master balancing on their skates or scooters. There is plenty of room for everyone and a large play area for children too. Views are superb

The most iconic place in Livorno: its checkered tiles and white bannister make it a simply unique promenade by the sea. From here you can watch the sun set until the sky turns red and the Gorgona Island becomes a black silhouette towards the horizon,…More

Start at the marina and work your way down. Lot’s of stops along the way if you want, but otherwise take some water cos it is a good walk.

How far is Terrazzo Mascagni from Livorno cruise terminal, is it walkable.

It is a nice enough place for a troll by the sea but it’s not an incredible promenade, just kind of nice.

The view is really nice and very refreshing! You can see the sea which is really breathtaking if you’re one who enjoys the ocean. The sea breeze is also really nice. It isn’t that too overpowering. The location is also very nice. It is really clean and really wide. It is also just minutes away from the city centre which is really great if you’ve finished taking pictures.
